The lab participates in the annual S3F at UChicago. We have conducted different genetics-related demos that appeal to kids and adults alike, such as 'Digging up DNA' 'Traits and Trees'.
Scientific outreach
Maanasa and lab members participate in STEM panels and public lectures on their research as well as their academic journeys and professional development topics. Examples include scientific communication panel at the ComSciCom Chicago 2023/2024 and interview for the PBS NOVA documentary 'Hunt for the Oldest DNA'.
